Custom PET Double-Sided Composite Copper Foil
Introduction
- PET double-sided composite copper foil is a functional current collector material in which a thin PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film is laminated to both sides of an ultra-thin copper foil. The copper layer provides excellent electrical conductivity and acts as the main current collector, while the PET layers offer mechanical reinforcement, insulation, and improved puncture and tear resistance. This structure helps enhance safety and dimensional stability in lithium-ion cells and is widely used in R&D cells, experimental coin/pouch/stacked batteries, and specialty lithium-based systems where mechanical robustness and handling convenience are important.

We offer customizable PET composite copper foil for laboratory and small-scale production, including adjustable copper thickness (e.g., 4–12 µm), PET thickness, width, and total laminate thickness. Surface treatment options (such as roughened, treated, or coated copper surfaces) can be provided to improve adhesion with active materials and binders. Rolls or cut sheets are available to match your electrode coating and cell assembly process. Our materials are produced in reference to common lithium-ion battery copper foil and PET film standards, and we provide technical support to help researchers select suitable specifications for new cathode/anode designs, solid-state concepts, or prototype cell development.
