Gold Disk Working Electrode is made with a high-purity gold disk embedded in an insulating electrode body. The exposed gold surface acts as the active working electrode area, while the surrounding insulating material helps define a precise reaction area.
Gold has excellent electrical conductivity, stable electrochemical properties, and strong surface modification capability. It is widely used in electrochemical sensors, biosensors, self-assembled monolayers, redox reaction studies, catalytic research, and analytical chemistry.
The electrode is available in different disk diameters from 1 mm to 6 mm, allowing users to choose the appropriate working area according to experimental current, sensitivity, and test requirements.
